Monks
As a Monk parries attacks in combat, the ability to use special blocking techniques becomes available. Usage of these techniques expend points from the block counter, which is incremented each time a natural parry occurs. While all blocking techniques are available to every Monk, an individual Monk may not possess the dexterity to execute them all. Every Monk's ability to parry and use successively more powerful blocking techniques increases with rank. A brief description of each blocking technique available is given below.
- Block
- Guarantees parry of the next melee attack
- Syntax: 'block'
- Cost: 15 block counter points
- Magic Block
- Spiritually blocks the next magical attack
- Syntax: 'mblock'
- Cost: 25 block counter points
- Defensive Block
- Focuses heavily on increasing overall defenses
- Syntax: 'dblock'
- Cost: 40 block counter points
- Extra Block
- Drastically increases parry rate for a short time
- Syntax: 'xblock'
- Cost: 50 block counter points
